Demystifying Ed-Tech Workshops

As Vietnam gradually exits the pandemic, policy-makers, administrators, and teachers realized a need for a basic understanding of Education Technology (EdTech).

As one of the co-founders and admin of The Viet Nam Learning Design, my co-founder and I authored a series of community-based learning experiences in The Spring Semester of 2022. 

Workshop components

The audience

– Teachers, learning designers, education technologists, and school administrators.

The science

– Building online communities of practice
– Micro-learning activities

The design

– Asynchronous: Mini-lectures before each workshop: Hybrid Learning, Personalization, Gamification and Game-based learning, UX/UI in Learning Design
– Synchronous: Monthly workshops with moderators as co-founders + Experts with case-study analyses

The results

– Active participants rose from 600 to 3000 in 4 months (500% increase)

The mini-lectures are presented in Vietnamese with bilingual text in English & Vietnamese.
